Easter is rolling round again, but once you’ve demolished your eggs, what else is there for you and the family to do? We’ve put together this handy guide to the best of what’s on in Aldeburgh this Easter to help you and your family make the most of the long weekend.
As is usual, Easter in Aldeburgh is marked with the annual Easter Programme. This year’s plans from Aldeburgh Music are especially exciting, with a huge range of music on offer, from Holy Week splendour and meditation to an imagined recreation of a very earthly Elizabethan voyage, plus family-friendly events around the site including an Easter Egg Hunt.
For the traditionalists there is also the Easter Day Sunrise Service on Thorpeness Beach, followed by refreshments at the Country Club. This is a great opportunity to celebrate the meaning behind Easter as well as taking in the natural beauty of the sunrise at Thorpeness Beach.
Of course there are still all the great places to be in Aldeburgh- for example it is home to what is said to be some of the finest fish and chips in England.
